The Administrative Centre of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports (ACAMS) of the State Sports General Administration of China, founded on Feb. 1, 2002, is composed of the General Office, the Automobile Sports Dept., the Motorcycle Sports Dept., a Marketing Dept., and the Base & Training Dept.

ACAMS is directly subordinated to the State Sports General Administration of China and serves as the permanent administrative body of the Federation of Automobile Sports (FASC) and the Chinese Motor Sports Association (CMSA).

ACAMS is mainly engaged in organizing, directing and promoting the automobile and motorcycle sports in China under the leadership of the State Sports General Administration of China and in accordance with state rules and policies. It works to boost the growth and enhancement of automobile and motorcycle sports and improve the health of the people by organizing competitions and carrying out a variety of business activities, thus contributing to the development of sports in the country as a whole.

FASC, established in 1994 as a national social organization under the State Sports General Administration of China, is an affiliate member of Federation Internationale de L’Automobile (FIA). As an independent legal person, it is responsible for managing, supervising, directing and promoting automobile sports in China under the leadership of the State Sports General Administration of China. It is also the only legal organization in China that enjoys the exclusive right to supervise the enforcement and popularization of FIA rules and regulations in the country. Automobile sports events that have been staged in the country so far include the China Rally Championship, China Touring Car Championship, the China Karting Championship/China Youth Kating Championship, the China Off-Road Championship, the National Rally Sprint Championship and the China Cross-country Rally.

CMSA, set up in 1954 as an affiliate member of Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and L’Union Asia Motocyclisme (UAM), is granted by the two organizations the right and responsibility to supervise and manage motorcycle sports and organize and approve competitive events in China. Under the leadership of the State Sports General Administration of China, CMSA has organized a number of motorcycle sports events, which mainly include the China Motocross Championship, the China Road Racing Championship, China Superbike Championship and motorcycle rallies.

The ACAMS training base, located in Beijing’s Tongzhou District, runs training courses for people who are either to participate in competitions or to serve as marshals.
